The staff is super nice and the teachers are excellent. One of the reasons the kids like this place is because they do the musical ladder system. This system give the students the opportunity to earn special color wristband bracelets, trophies and certificates for passing musical tests. My kids love that!

Many of our teachers have received their education from prestigious institutions such as San Francisco Conservatory, University of Oregon, Carnegie Mellon University, California State University Fresno, California State University Long Beach, Fresno Pacific University, University of San Francisco, University of California and Savannah State University. With several music teachers for almost every instrument, we are confident that we have the right teacher to meet your music lesson needs. Many of our instructors have gone on performance tours of the US and Europe and have over 25 years of professional performance and teaching experience. In addition to their teaching credentials, our teachers have warm personalities, are extremely friendly, and strive to get to know each student and their parent on a personal level.

Are you interested in art classes for your child? We offer art classes for kids of all ages in painting, drawing, sketching, and more! Learn how to draw facial features, and self-portraits, study color, point-perspective, landscapes, photography, and other mixed media.
Make projects in collage, drawing, painting, and learn the elements of art such as shape, line, and color in our art classes!

#5 DANCE and ACTING/THEATER CLASSES are now available!
UCMA is now home to various arts classes. So if you’re looking for young and adult dance lessons in Fresno, we have just the right classes near you. We have the most qualified instructors for dance lessons. Students can also explore contemporary, jazz, ballroom, swing, and many more. Our acting classes are also popular for parents who are looking to boost their children’s confidence and creativity. These lessons are open to ALL AGES and SKILL LEVELS so don’t forget to reserve a spot because SLOTS ARE LIMITED.
# 6 We offer early MORNING and LUNCH TIME LESSONS for homeschoolers, retirees, college students, and working professionals
We are able to be a 'full service' music school. This allows us to offer lessons as early as 9 a.m. and we see many students between the hours of 11AM-2PM. If you are a home school parent, retiree, college student, or working professional who has a flexible schedule, take advantage of our early morning and lunch time lesson spots. We have many students from Inspire Charter Schools that love taking lessons here!

Every parent just wants to know how their child is doing and if they are really progressing. The best way for a parent to understand if their investment in lessons is really worth it, is to have their child participate in a recital. #10 PROFESSIONAL OFFICE STAFF available 7 days a week TO SERVE YOU
We offer full-time professional customer service for our students seven days a week. Many music studio desks are staffed by the teacher/owner or more commonly an answering machine. We have three office team members who are available at the front desk to assist our clients quickly and professionally.
The Conservatory does not require semester minimums for lessons. Every student is here on a month-to-month basis.

#12 MUSICAL LADDER SYSTEM - Trophies, certificates, and award wristbands to CELEBRATE ACHIEVEMENT
We are the only music schools in Fresno that give their students the opportunity to earn special color wristband bracelets (kids and teens love them!), trophies AND certificates for passing musical tests. Do other schools offer trophies and certificates? A few. But none of them inspire their students with smiling faces by giving them full-color, really cool “Musical Ladder” wristbands that they can show off to their friends. The Musical Ladder is our unique method of music education that you can only get here.

Just this year, we expanded our reach to share the fun in learningthe arts through after school programs and and extended learning opportunities program (ELOP). Selma Unified School District is the first comminity we partnered with and we couldn’t be any happier with the growth of the students, their families’ satisfaction, and the government district’s support in our programs.
