What ages do you teach? 

We teach students of ALL AGES, from children to adults.

What lessons do you offer? 

We offer music and art lessons for ALL AGES and SKILL LEVELS. For music, we have cello, clarinet, drum, flute, guitar, piano, saxophone, viola, violin, and voice lessons. For art, we have lessons for Art Exploration (ages 5-8), Mixed Medium (ages 9-12), and Studio Arts (ages 13-17).

What instruments do you offer lessons for?

We offer lessons for various instruments at UCMA:

How much are the lessons?

Lesson prices vary depending on the type of class and duration.
Example: Piano lessons

  • 30 Minutes - $40

  • 45 Minutes - $60

  • 60 Minutes - $80

How can I or my child enroll?

Do you offer private lessons? 

Yes, we offer private and group lessons.

What is the typical lesson length and frequency? 

Lessons are typically 30, 45, and 60 minutes long.

How do I know if my child is ready for music/art lessons? 

If your child shows an interest in music or art and is able to focus and follow instructions, they may be ready for music/art lessons. Our instructors can also assess readiness during a trial lesson.

Can I try a lesson before committing to a package? 

Yes, we offer introductory or trial lessons for new students.

How do I schedule and pay for lessons?

You can schedule and pay for lessons by registering online at this link or by giving us a text/call at 559-249-2851. You may also visit our school at 6759 North First Street, Fresno, CA 93710.

Do you provide any kind of certification or diploma?

Yes, at UCMA we have a Musical Ladder System (MLS) that assesses the level of a student. We also give certificates during recitals and special events.

Do you offer student discounts?

Is prior music or art experience required to enroll in lessons?

We welcome students of ALL skill levels, including beginners with no prior knowledge of music. Prior musical experience is not required to enroll in our lessons. Our experienced instructors will work with each student to assess their abilities and tailor the lessons to their individual needs and goals.

Where are you located?

We are located at the United Conservatory of Music and Arts, 6759 North First Street, Fresno, CA 93710. In a few months, we will be opening a branch in Clovis. 

We also have Opus Music School - a division of UCMA, located at 15155 Gale Ave. Hacienda Heights, CA 91745.

Who are the instructors at UCMA?

Our instructors are typically experienced musicians, artists, and educators who have a passion for teaching music and arts to students.

How often will classes be held? 

Music and art classes are typically held once a week for a specific duration, depending on the program.

What is the schedule of the classes? Can we choose our own schedule?

The schedule for any UCMA program typically includes one (1) class held on a set day of the week at your desired time. You can schedule classes that best work for you.
