Simpson Cha, born and raised in Fresno, CA, has been involved with music for over a decade and has performed throughout the Central Valley. His love of music first began in fifth grade when he heard the Friday Philharmonic perform. He initiated his music career by starting with clarinet, switching to violin for three years, and finally picking up cello in high school. With this experience, he found his true passion for cello. He has participated in several music camps and festivals since then, including YMCA Music Camp, FMCMEA Orchestra, Youth Orchestras of Fresno, FOOSA, and Cello Fresno. Under the direction of Dr. Thomas Loewenheim, he completed his undergraduates in Music Performance at California State University, Fresno.
